Precautions
Working voltage of the camera is 6.0 V. the Camera is equipped with four or eight AA batteries. Before inserting the SD card, unlock the write protection.
Before the test the camera, insert the SD card when the power switch is in the OFF position. Do not insert or remove the SD card when the power switch is in the ON position.
It is recommended to format the SD card in the camera before use.
The camera will be in USB mode if it is connected to the computer USB port. In this case, the SD card will appear as a removable disk.
Before updating firmware, ensure sufficient battery charge, otherwise the upgrade process could be completed correctly. If the wrong update encounter any errors, the camera might stop working properly.
Easy control
As the power supply for the camera uses four or eight AA batteries.
Open the lower cover. Make sure that the power switch is in the OFF position (right), remove the batteries. Insert a fully charged battery into the battery compartment, observing polarity as shown below. Close the cover.
You can use the following batteries with 1.5 V capacity:
1. High-performance alkaline batteries high-density (recommended)
2. Rechargeable alkaline batteries
3. Rechargeable Nickel-metal hydride battery
There are four slots for batteries. Slot 1 and 2 form a first group (“1” on the cover), slots 3 and 4 form the other group (“2” into Bay) – each of the groups can be a separate power source. At the expiration of 3 minutes, during which did not commit any actions in the Test mode, the camera automatically turns off to conserve energy; it may be included in case of motion detection.
When the batteries are low, the camera automatically turns off. Please change the battery timely.
SD memory card
Insert the SD card in the card slot marked side up. Please note that an SD card can be inserted only in one direction. Make sure switch write-protect the SD card is in the position "recording".
Turning the camera on and ON
Before you turn on the camera, note the following:
1. Avoid temperature extremes and sudden movements, which can be interpreted as movement of an animal or person, for example, trees, which can cover from direct sunlight most of the day, or any other source of heat. Such factors can become false signals.
2. The height of the camera above the ground should be at 1 meter. For example, the level of the back of a deer is sufficient to install the camera. Generally, the preferred height is one to two meters.
Slide the power switch to the ON position to turn on the camera and enter the mode to ON.
After the camera is turned on, within 15 seconds will blink the led indication (red). 15 sec is the time settings for automatic shooting photos and videos, for example, to close the bottom cover to lock the camera on the tree and stand back.
Mode ON the camera will capture photos and videos automatically in accordance with default settings or last user settings. The camera can record the sound, so videos will be recorded with sound.
Enable TEST mode
Slide the power switch in the TEST position to enable TEST mode. In the TEST mode has several functions: Custom settings, manual capture, preview.
Customizing
Press the MENU button to enter the settings menu. The camera can be set manually by setting the settings on the camera screen or on the TV screen. Detailed control is described in the section "Additional control".
Manual shooting
You can click OK to manually capture photos or recording video.
View images and videos
Images or videos can be viewed in two ways:
1. On the LCD camera screen
2. On the TV screen connected to the camera via cable.
Press right to select viewing of pictures on the camera screen or TV will be shown on the last picture. Press UP to view previous pictures, DOWN the next. Detailed steps: remove the shots or videos will be described in the section "Additional control".
Off
Slide the power switch to the OFF position to turn off the camera. Attention, even when switched off, the camera consumes a certain amount of energy at the level of µA. Therefore, it is necessary to remove the battery if the camera is not used for a long time.
Additional management
Of the main camera settings discussed in the previous section, we know that the camera has three basic operation modes:
1. OFF mode: the power switch in the OFF position (bottom).
2. ON mode: power switch in the ON position (top).
3. TEST mode: power switch in the TEST position (middle).
Of these three modes, the OFF mode is the safe mode if you need to replace the SD card or battery and for carrying camera.
This section discusses additional management of the camera settings. Settings can only be set in the TEST mode, with the necessary remote control.
The settings menu
To view the settings menu camera press MENU in the TEST mode (in this section we will call this the settings menu).On the camera screen or TV will display the settings menu.

General settings
Configuration steps relate to the following menu items: camera mode, photo size, video size, burst shooting, movie length, delay, and timer.
Configuring camera mode
There are three camera modes: Camera, Video and Camera+Video. Camera mode is configured in the settings menu.
The following shows how to set camera mode to Video mode, if previous mode was mode Photo:
a) Press MENU to open the settings menu.
b) Press DOWN to select mode.
c) Press RIGHT to select Video.
d) Click the switch down to save the current settings. Press MENU to cancel settings and return to the information window.
Formatting the SD card
After formatting SD card the system will delete all photos and videos that were stored on it; make sure you have backed up your important data.
a) Press MENU to open the settings menu.
b) Press RIGHT to select system settings.
c) Press DOWN to select format.
d) Press RIGHT to select SD card.
e) Click the switch down to move to the submenu.
f) Press down to select OK. OK will be highlighted.
g) Click OK to start formatting the SD card. During formatting, the screen will display the message "Please wait" as shown below.
Press MENU to cancel setting and return to the information window.
Customize photo size
The option has three values::12MP:8MP and 5MP. The default value is 5 mega pixels. Below shows how to specify the size of 5M pixels:
a) Press MENU to display the settings menu.
b) Press DOWN to select resolution
c) Press Right to select 12M pixel
d) Press down switch down to save the current settings, then press menu to return to the information window.
Press MENU to cancel setting and return to the information window.
Adjust the video size
This parameter has three values: 1080P, WVGA, QVGA. The default value is 1080P, the following shows how to set 720P video size, if the previous setting was WVGA:
a) Press MENU to select the settings menu.
b) Press DOWN to select resolution.
c) Press RIGHT to select WVGA
d) Click the switch down to save the current settings, then press menu to return to the information window.
Press MENU to cancel setting and return to the information window.
Setting the date and time
You can change the date and time on the device by adjusting the setting if necessary, e.g. after you change the batteries. Date format: day/month/year, time format: hour: minute: second. Year value: from 2010 to 2050.
For example, you must set the date and time: November 15, 2011 half past ten, the steps are the following:
a) Press MENU to display the settings menu.
b) Click the right button to enter the "system settings"
c) Press DOWN to select date/Time.
d) Press Right to display the interface settings date/time press UP and DOWN to change the value
e) Click the switch down to save all the current settings, then press MENU to return to the information window.

Setting continuous shooting
This option controls the number of shots for each shooting mode the camera. There are four values: "1 photo", "photo 3", "6 photos" and "9 photos". The default value is "1 photo". Below shows how to configure the series of shots of 3 photos, before there was a value of 1 photo:
a) Press MENU to display the settings menu.
b) Press DOWN to select continuous shooting.
c) Press RIGHT to select 3 pictures.

ISO settings
This menu may be needed only in the improvement of night photography, there are 3 values: 100, 200, 400.

Setting the duration of video
a) Below shows how to set the duration of video of 30 seconds provided that the previous value was 10 seconds:

Audio setup video
The following shows how to turn the sound off video:
a) Press MENU to display the settings menu.
b) Press DOWN to select the Voice (voice).
c) Press RIGHT to display the interface VOICE.
Setting latency
This parameter indicates the time duration for which a passive infrared motion sensor (PID) will be disabled after each switch the camera ON. During this time PID the device will not respond to the movement of the person (or animal). The minimum interval is 5 seconds, that means PID works all the time and the shot goes almost continuously. The maximum interval is 30 minutes, which means that PID will be active for 30 minutes after each activation. The default value is 5 seconds.
Below shows how to configure time interval between PID 1 minute, provided that the previous value was 5 seconds.
a) Press MENU to display the settings menu.
b) Press DOWN to select Delay (delay).
c) Press RIGHT to select and configure the interval.
d) Press DOWN to select 1 minute.
e) Click the switch down to save the current settings, then press MENU to return to the information window.
Press MENU to cancel setting and return to the information window.
Timer setting
This parameter specifies a period of time of the day when the camera turns on. The rest of the time the device is turned off. Valid values range from 0 to 23 (hours) 0 to 59 (minutes).
For example, the camera has to work from 8 am to 5 PM, then the settings will be the following:
a) Press MENU to display the settings menu.
b) Press DOWN to select timer.
c) Press RIGHT to select item, press UP or DOWN to change the value until the start time will not be 8, and the final - 17.
d) Click the switch down to save the current settings, then press MENU to return to the information window.
Press MENU to return to the previous menu.
Password
If you enabled the password after switching on the camera, the camera screen will be prompted for a password. By default this feature is disabled. To change the settings as follows:
a) Press MENU to display the settings menu.
b) Press DOWN to select Password (password).
c) Press Up to connect, then press Right to set the password of 4 digits
d) Click OK to save the current settings, then press MENU to return to the information window.
f) On the LCD screen will be prompted for a password next time you turn the camera on.
Press MENU to cancel setting and return to the previous menu.
Playback
In playback mode, you can view or delete pictures or videos. The pictures and videos you can view on the camera screen or TV, which connects to camera with TV cable. For simplicity, work with a PC here not described.
Viewing photos and videos
a) Navigate to TEST mode and open the information window.
b) Click to the right to view the latest pictures (or video) on the camera screen, TV or using the program image viewer.
c) Click to the left to begin watching the video
d) Press left again to stop playing the video.
e) Press UP to view the previous photo (or video) and DOWN (down) to view the following.
f) Click the switch down to return to the information window.
When viewing the images will be displayed accordingly the total number of all images on the SD card and the number of the opened image.
Deleting photos and videos
The sequence of actions is the following:
a) Press Right to display photos and videos.
b) Press Menu to select Delete (delete).
c) Press right to select delete current or all.
d) Press OK, cancel (Cancel) or confirm (OK).
e) Click OK to delete the image or video.
Press cancel to cancel, then press MENU and down to select and return to the information window
Note. After removal of the image file or video, deleted files cannot be recovered! To delete all images and video clips on an SD card, it is recommended to format the SD card
Laser pointer
Laser pointer can be turned and is particularly necessary when in the dark you must specify the object or a specific region (ROI).
Click﹡ to turn the light on in the TEST mode and control the transverse slope on the back side of the camera adjust the angle of the shooting direction. NOTE: please note that the laser is dangerous to the eye, if made available to the human eye.
File numbering
Images and video are saved separately in a specially created folder with the name (104MEDIA). The file number is formed by adding one to the last number each image or video. The name of the saved file will look like this: PTDC0001.JPB or PTDC0001.AVI. By extension, you can define an image for it (the extension .jpg) or videos (extension.avi).
Firmware update
The camera has a function of automatic updates. The update is only necessary if the best available version of the firmware. The sequence of actions is the following:
1. Unzip the update file
2. Copy FW18NA.bin on the SD card.
3. Insert the SD card into the camera.
4. Turn on the camera (mode Test).
5. The camera will read the file and perform the update automatically. During the upgrade, the camera screen will be black.
6. The screen will light up again as soon as the installation is completed.
7. Remove the SD card, then insert it in the computer, delete the file FW18NA.bin on the SD card. (If you do not delete this file, the camera will start again the update mode when switched on).
8. Insert the SD card into the camera to work with it.
